The solution is to start the product using right clicking on the product icon, and selecting "Right as Administrator" menu item.

Can iFileRecovery recover pictures, music and movies?

Yes, iFileRecovery can recover all types of files including documents, pictures, music, movies spreadsheets and anything stored on your hard drive and memory cards.

Is it possible to recover my files emptied from recycle bin?

Yes, When a file is emptied from the recycle bin, the content of the file is not lost but the name of the file is removed from the recycle bin list. The deleted space in the drive will be utilized to store another data but before the replacement takes place the file can be recovered using iFileRecovery or other data recovery software.
When a file or folder is deleted, the file is still recoverable with iFileRecovery.

Do iFileRecovery recover data from more than just hard drives?

I cannot open the recovered files, Why?

Your files were overwritten by other data. In this case there is no way to retrieve the data.

Can iFileRecovery harm my hard disk?

As long as the drive is not physically damaged there is no risk in using the iFileRecovery. iFileRecovery only reads from the drive, and does NOT write to it at any time by itself.

Can I recover data from a formatted disk?

Why is recovery to the same disk not recommended?

Recovery to the same disk may overwrite the very segments of the disk that you're trying to recover files from. That will not leave you another recovery chance.
